inside d thtr

As we entered the NATARAJ 786 theatre,we were surprised to find a new world inside. Few funny inferences I've made instantly were:
1. There was no woman/girl in the whole theatre.
2. No AC.There were a few ceiling fans which served the purpose of flying the pieces of paper thrown by the audience into air.
3. This is the most weird thing I've seen live in a theatre.A man climbed the dais and reached the screen. He lit a camphor, placed it on a pumpkin and started giving offerings to GOD(donno which god he was offering to) to save the movie from evil forces.(This process, famous in INDIA is called 'dishti').

We all had to remove our shirts because of the suffocation inside the hall. Most of the local people entered the hall topless. I guess they are all well aware of the situation. When asked for our seat no.s,a man gave us a weird look and answered" atla em undadu yaada dorkithe aada kusoo..."(there's no such arrangement, sit wherever you are comfortable). We found an empty row and all 10 of us settled ourselves there.

I was sitting to one of the extremes.I asked the man sitting beside me, " how many people are watching this show?"."500" was a gunshot answer from him,as fast as a reflex. With the theatre's size, I was surprised if it could accommodate 350 people at least. When asked about this, the man gave me a 'top to bottom' look and smiled sarcastically, saying "wait and see".

After a few minutes, I was awestruck in surprise with the thing I saw there. People were carrying chairs and benches fron their houses, few people were sitting on the floor and a few carried carpets with them. OMG!! I have no words to express the kind of feeling we had watching the entire movie. We had absolute fun till the end.

Though we are growing to multiplexes, IMAX, and 3D screens, Country side local theatres still rock!!!!!!
